There is one other thing Soteria delivers.

The obvious care of an owner who made sure that she was perfect as he could make her.

A fresh water boat virtually all her life, after commissioning in New Bern N.C. she was motored to the Great Lakes and has been here ever since; spending six months of every year in the comfort of climate-controlled indoor storage.

She is a “big” 64 footer.

The renowned Hatteras convex hull shape carries a boat’s beam well forward, creating more interior space while delivering a smooth, soft ride.

The result? Soteria’s 18’3” beam creates a full width salon and almost 200’ sq. ft. of spectacular furnished space for entertaining or just relaxing. Opening the aft stainless deck a natural extension of the salon.

Forward, just three steps up from the salon, is the pilot house and galley.

The 150 sq. ft. galley is to starboard, featuring a granite-topped counter area, stainless steel sink, a four burner glass cook-top, Subzero refrigerator/freeze, ice maker, dishwasher and garbage disposal with plenty of storage in the magnificent high-gloss cherry cabinets from furniture makers of Hatteras.

To port is the dinette, with u-shaped seating and more of that Hatteras cabinetry as exemplified by the high-gloss cherry dining table.

The helm is located on the centerline, giving the captain great visibility, and offering the latest in electronic aids to navigation, like three panel GlassHelm featuring three Garmin 8215’s

Below, there are 4-well appointed staterooms with three heads and separate showers.

The VIP berth, forward in the wide “v” of the Hatteras, has a queen-size island berth with cedar-lined storage, recessed lighting, flat screen TV with satellite receiver, AC/Heat control and private head with Corian-surface tops and separate stall shower.

To starboard, mid-ship in the companionway, is the washer and separate dryer. To port, is a separate stateroom with twin beds, cedar-lined hanging locker, recessed lighting, flat screen TV and attached head with shower that also acts as a convenient day head.

Moving aft on the starboard side is a bunk stateroom with recessed lighting, LCD TV and satellite receiver. Aft in the master stateroom with walk around queen berth, recessed lighting, AC/Heat, cedar-lined storage throughout, Sonos stereo system and two opening port lights for natural lighting and ventilation. On the port side of the master is a full, private head with granite counter tops, lots of storage and separate stall shower with opening port light.

That is only the inside story, there is a lot more to be seen…outside.

Soteria was seemingly made for entertaining.

The teak-soled aft deck is immediately adjacent to the salon. A beautiful large high gloss wood table is centered with to high gloss wood chairs and flip down LCD TV. The swim platform, easily reached from the aft deck, offers raw and freshwater wash downs. Removeable hooped rails and transom door to the engine room/lazarette area.

On the fore deck you will find a sun pad lounge, forward shore power inlets, windlass. Stainless steel bow rails with gates and custom painted handrails along the cabin sides.

Up above, the flybridge is big, wide-open and sun-worshiper friendly.

There is the full helm station quipped with twin Garmin 8215’s and two freshly renewed Stidd helm chairs. You will also find a radar arch, a bimini top, and a wet bar complete with refrigerator/icemaker. There is copious amount of sun lounger seating, and a grill cabinet with twin propane Gaggenau grills.

Her Yamaha 4-powered Nautica tender and davit complete the picture.

In terms of performance, Soteria carries on the Hatteras traditions of speed and efficiency.

Her big V-12 Cat diesels (342E) deliver 1400 HP each, and they do it almost silently.

A big reason for that is Hatteras has gone to a 3.5:1 gear reduction, placed the props in tunnels (reducing draft) and then use the Cat’s massive torque to slow spin enormous 7-blade, 40” props. Borrowed from silent submarine applications, these props yield no vibration and contribute to the quietest 30 mph cursing you’ve ever experienced in a 64-motor yacht.

One final example of Hatteras excellence and owner’s pride.

Soteria comes with a YachtController. A wireless remote-control system that lets the captain run the boat from the palm of his hand, anywhere on the boat.

Single-handed docking is a snap when you can stand on the forward deck, controlling the transmissions and the bow and stern thrusters with your thumb doing the “driving” on the Yachtcontroller.

The Hatteras 64 Motor Yacht features sleek, contemporary exterior styling matched to a luxurious interior finished to the industry’s highest standards. The model reflects acute attention to customer input, reflected in a fresh accommodation plan and intuitive touches found throughout the vessel. High performance is assured by a base engine package of 1,000-hp CAT C-18s, which provide a comfortable 22- to 24-knot cruise at 2100 RPM and a fast top-end of 26 to 28 knots. Should you require higher performance, larger engines are available from both CAT and MTU. The 64 Motor Yacht incorporates Hatteras’ popular convex hull shape, allowing for more interior space forward and providing for a softer ride in rough water. Propeller tunnels afford this 116,700-pound motor yacht a 4’8″ draft with the heaviest engines available. With the base CAT C-18s, the yacht weighs in at 110,700 pounds for a draft of only 4’6″.
